The Second Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting of the “Project for Capacity Development in Public-Private Partnership Management for Sound Fiscal Management (PPPrism),” implemented under the technical cooperation of JICA, was successfully held on March 27, 2026, in Ulaanbaatar.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Finance, the PPP Center, the Ministry of Road and Transport, as well as the Embassy of Japan in Mongolia, JICA Headquarters, the JICA Mongolia Office and project consultants.
During the meeting, participants were briefed on recent developments in the legal and policy framework for public-private partnerships (PPP), particularly the implementation progress of the amended PPP Law, as well as updates to related regulations and guidelines. Discussions were also held on future directions of the PPP policy environment.

In addition, the PPPrism project team presented the progress, key outputs, and future plans of the project covering the period from October 2025 to March 2026. Participating organizations also shared the outcomes of the study tour and training conducted in Thailand.
The project will be implemented over four years, until January 2029, with the goal of creating a sound fiscal and budgetary environment by effectively managing the risks associated with public-private partnerships, supporting private sector participation, and strengthening the foundation for the long-term sustainability of the public-private partnership system.

At the conclusion of the meeting, key points were summarized, and general directions were identified for accelerating project implementation and enhancing the effectiveness of PPP policy execution.
