Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development of Mongolia, L. Gantomor, received a delegation led by Mr. Dasgupta Bhargav, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in charge of Public–Private Partnership and Private Sector Operations.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed their cooperation in strengthening public–private partnerships (PPP), increasing private sector investment, and improving loan utilization, and discussed the next steps to be taken. The ADB expressed its full commitment to supporting the expansion of the PPP Center’s operations and to developing effective partnership models that can attract both domestic and foreign investment.
This year, ADB invested a total of USD 118.5 million in Mongolia’s private sector. Both sides agreed to continue focusing on increasing this figure and to include measures for expanding private sector cooperation in the new medium-term partnership strategy currently being prepared. Within this framework, the parties also agreed to organize a Private Sector Roundtable Meeting in the first quarter of 2025.
