PPP Center and Türkiye Explore Opportunities to Strengthen Cooperation on Public-Private Partnerships

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia – Mr. Kh. Altai, Acting Director of the PPP Center State-Owned Enterprise, met with Mr. Kadir Ceryan, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Mongolia, on 18 June 2026 to exchange views on strengthening cooperation in the field of public-private partnerships (PPPs).

During the meeting, Mr. Ceryan highlighted Türkiye’s extensive experience in implementing PPP projects since the 1980s. He shared the country’s experience in delivering major PPP projects in the health, energy, and infrastructure sectors, including Istanbul Airport and 27 city hospitals, which have become landmark examples of successful public-private partnerships.

The parties also discussed opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation between Mongolia and Türkiye, increase bilateral trade, and strengthen collaboration in the development and implementation of PPP projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the PPP sector and to work together to encourage greater foreign direct investment from Türkiye to Mongolia, with the shared objective of increasing investment beyond the current USD 25 million level.
