ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia – The regional Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Capacity-Building Training for Local Governments is continuing in Mongolia’s eastern region as part of the 2026 Cooperation Agreements signed between the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development and the governors of the country’s 21 provinces.
The training program, jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and Development, the PPP Center State-Owned Enterprise, and Ulaanbaatar Partnership Center LLC with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is being held in Sukhbaatar Province for participants from the eastern region.
The opening session was addressed by Mr. Kh. Altai, Acting Director of the PPP Center, while representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) delivered presentations on international experience and best practices in the development and implementation of public-private partnership projects.

Representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Development, the PPP Center, and Ulaanbaatar Partnership Center LLC also provided practical guidance on PPP project preparation and implementation, including methodologies for conducting preliminary assessments and feasibility studies. The sessions incorporated case studies and practical examples, followed by interactive discussions with participants.
More than 30 officials responsible for development policy, investment, and public-private partnerships from the Governor’s Offices of Sukhbaatar, Khentii, and Dornod provinces are participating in the training.
The program is designed to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of local government officials and enhance their capacity to prepare and implement high-quality public-private partnership projects at the local level.
