PPP Center and JICA Discuss Expanding Cooperation

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia – Mr. Kh. Altai, Acting Director of the PPP Center State-Owned Enterprise, met with Mr. Ichiro Okumura, Team Leader of the JICA Project “Strengthening Public-Private Partnership Management Capacity for Sound Fiscal Management,” together with National Consultants Ms. P. Altantuya, Mr. Ch. Chinzorig, and Ms. Sh. Bolor, on 19 June 2026.

During the meeting, Mr. Altai expressed the PPP Center’s interest in further expanding cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), particularly in strengthening the capacity of professionals working in the field of public-private partnerships (PPPs).

The JICA delegation provided an overview of the Agency’s ongoing projects and programs, as well as its support for the development of Mongolia’s PPP framework. The parties also exchanged views on opportunities for future collaboration and discussed potential areas for continued cooperation.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to deepen cooperation in support of PPP development in Mongolia, with particular attention to strengthening efforts to attract private investment for PPP projects.
